Re: Ship doesn't deploy all repair drones. Pointless to buy them?

... Imagine you have a fleet of 2,000 destroyers... I can't!! Why in the Universe would anyone need 2000 destroyers? And if they could, just what kind of computer do they have? Mine certainly couldn't ever handle that many destroyers over all, let alone in one fleet taking battle damage. And what e...

Re: All-round_Combat_Travel Engines

... You'll use pitch/roll and avoid yaw, while the AI will mostly use yaw... Not me! I fly my ships like spacecraft, not aircraft. The reason aircraft use pitch-roll instead of yaw is because they need to maintain airflow across their wings. Spacecraft have no such need and thus can use the much mo...

Re: Ship doesn't deploy all repair drones. Pointless to buy them?

... On the large scale, that toggle would be a nightmare.... Explain, please. As it stands now, having no toggle is currently a "nightmare" for most players. How would the ability to control when the drones activated be bad? As I see it, the devs could put the toggle option in the overall (or each ...

Re: 7.0 Beta 5 Stranded Start keep falling through airlock

You're playing the beta version of the game, so when you have a problem, it should be reported in the beta forum following the rules at the top of that forum. And rather than "ragequit" because of a problem, you should document the issue and make plenty of saves. The whole purpose of Egosoft releasi...

Re: {7.0 Beta 5} Dal Busta doesn't appear if you have negative HAT rep

Or kill Xenon ships near HAT stations in Hatikvah's Choice. There should be a steady supply of M's, N's and P's flying through. Shoot at them, lure them near a HAT station and then destroy them before the station does.

Re: [Poll]Should Existential Crisis be optional?

You call it a ''plot", but is it really? I don't consider sitting and waiting for random attacks on my assets to be a plot. Plots are where the player is in charge of making things happen. The only player actions, other than defending their assets, is to initially talk to Boso Ta. Then the game does...

Re: Capture of Xenon ships could be just a little better implemented...

Well, the obvious answers to 1, 2, and 3 are that the Xenon, formerly known as the Terraformers, being originally built by Terrans (formerly 'just humans') never purged the human design criteria from their blueprints. You've never played X-Tension, where the player was allowed to capture and fly Xen...

Re: [Poll]Should Existential Crisis be optional?

The poll is incomplete. It's missing the option to toggle the crisis on/off in the settings. That's the one I'd vote for. That way, if a player really wants their universe trashed by the Xenon/Kha'ak alliance, they can toggle it on and wait for it to begin at some later time. I personally won't even...

This has become personal for both of you and it needs to stop now. Discuss the issues, not each other. Otherwise this thread is going to get locked.

Re: Make Casinos Functional Please!!

Suppose instead of playing for credits, we play for mod parts. Have it set up so we place a minimum 'bet' and always get at least a low level mod, the larger the bet, the greater the chance of getting a higher level mod. It would be an alternative way to get mods, but instead of killing for them, we...

Re: Energy cells should be non-refundable

I don't think the solar power plant needs anything. Its economic value is one of the lowest in the game as it is. You can't make a lot of credits just selling energy cells, especially since most NPC stations don't ask for them at a reasonable price. Solar power plants are starter stations to which y...

Re: Energy cells should be non-refundable

I'd think it came from the builder ship when a drone returns after each (short) trip. But whatever.

Or more logically, their power source is built into them the same way as it is in all other ships in the X-Universe.

Re: Energy cells should be non-refundable

Let's look at it another way. The Energy used to construct the module comes from the drones that build it. Now suppose the Energy Cells are embedded into the structure as the future power source for that module, being recharged whenever energy is delivered to or created by the station. It would make...

Or Egosoft can go the lazy route and retcon "Magic dimensional Harry Potter bags" into X-lore...Seriously, don't do that please... You've obviously never played any of the games up to and including the X3's. There was this thing called 'cargo bay compression' that allowed players to add massive amo...

... Most players just outright ignore it. Not sure where you're getting your data from, but it's highly suspect, IMO. :P Personally, I use both station and 'suit scanning a lot, and only rarely do I encounter problems with 'suit scanning, and never with what you term 'station' scanning (more accura...

... Because it's healthy for the game. Nonsense! Cheesing, such as Drive-by boarding bypasses the intended early-game. And what's "the intended early-game"? Your playstyle or someone else's? Certainly not mine! I would never try to force my playstyles on other players. Why should the devs leave che...

Re: Why Advanced Satellite trading is illogical and exploitish

I've spoken about this numerous times in my VODs (linked in sig) as well. There are several solutions, but it basically boils down to this. 1 - Reduce profit margins on Adv Satellites 2 - Reduce the number of deployables ships can carry. Why??? Don't like it, don't do it. Why should the devs nerf t...
