[7.00 beta 3] Gamepad mode for controllers/joysticks has long delay on switch back to stick
This is something I've discovered in conjunction with my tests regarding the other bug I posted. If I have gamepad mode set to controllers AND joysticks, and then use my mouse, when I return to the joystick there is a noticeable - and sometimes infinite - delay before the game registers any stick mo...

Re: [7.00 beta 2] Gamepad Mode makes ship drift when mouse is moved
A little more information about this bug: The problem doesn't appear if I move the mouse horizontally, and is worst when I move it vertically. All other angles result in some amount of drift. It's pitch/yaw drift, not roll. In case it matters: I have a Logitech X-56 HOTAS and a wireless mouse. I bel...

Re: [FEEDBACK] Input Profiles
I have the same issue with THRUSTMASTER T16000M, in gamepad mode my character moves or the map moves without me pressing anything, tried all the calibration and putting higher deadzone its the same, I played with gamepad off since that works fine, didnt try it now in 7.0 though and seeing this repo...

Re: Do we really need 'docing software'?
If you want to go down the rabbit hole of "why aren't docking computers automatic and standard?" then you will end up at the bottom of the hole, which is: Why are there meatsacks in cockpits at all? Before the end of this century, there will be no aircraft being flown by human pilots. Already most o...

Re: With 7.00 underway ... cursor hiding, please?
wdym? in what circumstances? what moves It's reproducible for me 100% of the time, and here's what happens: 1) I have Gamepad mode ON for controllers and joysticks. 2) I am in my cockpit, flying around using my Saitek X-56 stick and throttle. 3) I stop all movement (for purposes of the test). 4) I ...

Whatever subtle secret sauce they've added to the lighting ... it brings the look of stations and ships almost on a par with the lighting/visuals of Elite Dangerous. I never thought I'd see the day.

[#2055][7.00 beta 2] Emulated Mouse Cursor (Vertical) does not retain settings between sessions
Problem: Controls > Invert Controller / Joystick Axes > Emulated Mouse Cursor (Vertical) does not stay Inverted if the game is quit and then reloaded, even if a Custom Profile is saved after setting. (Custom Profiles may not even read in that setting, I'm not sure.) Expected: That setting should hol...

[7.00 beta 2] Gamepad Mode makes ship drift when mouse is moved
This has been an issue for a long time, actually. If you have Gamepad Mode turned on for controllers and joysticks (possible also controllers only), and you're using a stick and then move the mouse, the ship starts to rotate in the direction of the mouse movement (very slowly). It only happens at th...

Re: With 7.00 underway ... cursor hiding, please?
Ah, dang, now I remember why I turned it off in the first place.
If you have Gamepad mode turned on, and then you move the mouse, it treats that input as movement. It's been doing that for years.

Re: With 7.00 underway ... cursor hiding, please?
deselect has been in the game since release afaik It wasn't - it was added in a later update. You had to click open space with the mouse, there was no bindable hotkey. gamepad mode should be on when you play with controller, its under options, in that mode the mouse pointers hides when you use cont...

With 7.00 underway ... cursor hiding, please?
EGOSOFT, you granted my wildest dreams when you implemented the deselect hotkey that I'd been ranting about for years. ;) So I figured I'd push a little farther... It would be really nice if the cursor disappeared when the player actuates a gamepad or joystick. Once a player's hands are on a device,...

Re: [Mod Idea] Elite Power Distribution Pips
I'm still very skeptical of the point of it, as far as the game universe is concerned. For one thing (and this goofiness infects Elite Dangerous, too), ship mods exist. You can apply them to any ship and boost various elements of weapons, shields, engines - permanently. A pip system would be functio...

Re: [Mod Idea] Elite Power Distribution Pips
As fans of space games, I'm sure you're all aware of Elite Dangerous and it's elegant and genius power pip distribution scheme: It's certainly not unique to Elite Dangerous. It is very common in space combat games. But it does raise the obvious in-universe question: Why aren't the ship engineers pu...

Reputations and professions https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/636 by kuertee There are very few mods I use that I'm convinced belong in the base game. This is one of them. I haven't even had a chance to explore a lot of what it does yet - but *at the very least* it's just really satisfyi...

Re: Things I dislike the most about vanilla (unmodded) X4
Xenon only get damaged from other AI if you are in system and looking at them. This must be a bug. Have fleets attacking a Argon DP for hours and nothing happens to the Xenon looking at map from other system. Once I fly to that system. Xenon all of a sudden are getting demolished. Seems kinda scrip...

What I wrote: I find it difficult to get into a game of the simulation-genre that can't even rudimentary find a way around obstacles and that gives up calculating collisons and lets things fly thorugh each other. That collides (pun) with my past experience in flight- and space simulation and even w...

Re: [mods] kuertee's (QOL, UI, gameplay). 28 Dec 2020 updates to Alts to Death, Crimes, Hacking (video sample in post),
The same issue appears to affect Info Center - if that’s active, left clicking to claim plots doesn’t work. So maybe the SirNukes mods are the underlying cause...?
