I captured one and put a pilot in. It has two mining turrets. But no action/behavior for mining?
What's it's purpose?

It looks nice. And I like the seismic charge turret

Recommend consulting the in-game encyclopedia for the stats of those 'mining' turrets. They might surprise you...
Apart from that it's primarily an L carrier (really not sure why it's classified as a 'destroyer'). Reckon nearest equivalent existing ship is Boron Guppy. Has a decent size hanger for S ships & LOTS of fast launch tubes, although only has a single S dock (so fighter retrieval may take a while). Also has good capacity for drones.

It is quite effective anti fighter platform, filling a gap for the Xenons since K and I are vulnerable to fighters.
Right on commander !

It's easy to miss as the L Seismic turrets default to Mining Turret Behavior which is going to give the impression that they're not optimal for combat before digging deeper via the Encyclopedia.GCU Grey Area wrote: ↑Mon, 22. The drone capacity + it’s 14 launch tubes is it’s super power. If you are flying have 60 drones and 10 repair. Let the fighter wing get close and arm them them in escort mode - everything drone will launch at once into a zerging cloud of death with the added bonus it being a death of a thousand cuts so you get a few bailing every time. (All 10 repair drones come out when the need arises)GCU Grey Area wrote: ↑Mon, 22. Apr 24, 23:31Recommend consulting the in-game encyclopedia for the stats of those 'mining' turrets. I also have 200 mk2 laser towers on board so if things go south you can dump all 200 of them in the battle itself - a standing bottle cap where ever you are.

It annihilates M/S size ships and can reliably kill L miners/transporters but not Destroyers/Carriers. It takes a bit to kill XL construction vessels, but you can angle so both seismic turrets hit them. Very fun ship, probably most similar to Barbarossa in role. Set your drones to "unarmed" and "escort" and switch to "armed" for real combat and you'll dump all 50-60 drones in about 5 seconds. Great cinematic experience.
