Ranger install won't cause it, its part of the BBS Extras, but I've never been able to isolate it.

ReadText0-1, means Page ID 0, Text ID 1. Could be a reference in the BBS script returning invalid id's.

I have reinstalled the BBS and I still get this message. i think it is the one that offers ships from pirates as I have never been able to find it. Is there some way to fix it?

not without me finding where the pageid of 0 is coming from

it usually gets it from a global varible, so it might be that one of the scripts is trying to get the wrong varible

Maybe it will help, if I tell you that so far, I have seen this ReadText message in pirate bases only.

Well since yesterday I have found several ship offer BBS missions, so these work. As well as others (jump gate coordinates, salvage insurances, stations positions). So it is not such a big bug ater all, but it is strange.

yes its very strange, and i've not figured out y its hapening yet, as theres no indication in the code that it even could happen.

i guess the only thing to do would be to ignore them

I already do that. Considering how much effort and work it must have taken to make this (and other) script, I think there is not a problem with such a small bug as this one.

But I have another question. I know the game uses names like Osprey Raider, but the ship is identical to a normal Osprey. But I have seen an Osprey Military and it had a speed of 85 instead of 81. And maybe there were some other changes.

Would it be posssible to add this one to the list of offered ships as well?

I've been looking at ship varients that don't change from the 'standard'. I then used the known varients to make the calculations for them.

I altered the Tships file for the Osprey, so Raider, Sentinel and Vanguards have the correct stats.

Made it interedting.

they are called raider or vangurad, coz thats what they are called in game, the only problem is that they usually have the same stats.

as for the miltary one, its likly it was overtuned so its faster

It seems to me that i cant install more than 1 type of weapon in each turret on Boron Ray i bought from BBS. Whenever i install several weapons in single turret they get removed after a few sec.

Any help?

Set all the turrets commands to 'None' and wait a min or 2. Then try.

Wouldn't be workable. There is no way to add blueprints to the HQ inside the game other than with Reverse Engineering.

SE has no commands to support something like that, as it was never changed in 2.0. (oh, there were fixes to some SE commands, but nothing added).

just an idea about the O variable, if you ever read a BBS during or after a Khaak invasion you get the message of Khaak nearing O, for a while ive wondered what on earth this is supposed to mean, maybe its this script thats buggering things up?
About the name - i was lost for a name on the forum and looking round, then a Bob Hope film came on, and i thought "that will do nicely"

This is not part of any script. It's part of the Kha'ak Invasion code in the game. And yes, it is bugged, and can't be fixed.
