this looks like a good script but i cant seem to get it to run is it compatable with the 2.5 patch? the mines do not show up in any of the parinid shipyards

i am running
capital ship crews (Cycrow)
jumpdrive kits (LV)
bail siginal extension (voxol/xfir01 )
salvage claim software (Cycrow)
goner trader/no civilians (Jakesnake5 )
phq bbs blueprints (LV)
yaki & xenon shipyards (Jakesnake5
local trader (Xai Corporation )
emp
nividium mines (the only one that will not work)
all my scripts were installed at the same time

theres no reason y it shouldn't work, perhaps its just a problem with adding the stations to the shipyards, i will have to check that

there is a script that adds stations that use Nividium http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=127375
LV's jump drive kits script the script adds stations that make the JD kits and one of their main resources is Nividium.

Cycrow have you looked into why this script won't add the nividium mines to the paranid shipyards? im going to delete the script and DL it again and see if that helps

edit: looks like i had a bad DL the first time as the script worked after i
re downloaded it.

Problems deploying mines in asteroids

Post by rafaelskywalker » Fri, 23. May 08, 14:09

Hello,

I just recently downloaded version 1 of this script and installed using that program made by this author (forgot the prog's name). Had to enable the script editor for it to work out and add the mines to the stations in my savegame.
What I am trying to accomplish is to deploy the 2 niv. mines I bought in Paranid Prime in the asteroids in Rolk's Fate, to finish the bala-gi mission. I have such a pity of the asteroids that I don't want to break them up with the mobile miner.
Problem: when I order the TS to deploy the 1st mine, it only shows up the ore asteroids in the sector, not the 2 nividium ones.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

wanted to see if it was the roids or the mine so i put the nividium mine onto the ore roids the yeald 3 one and after 5hrs and 20 sec's it got my 1st 2 units :D isnt the fastis way but now looking at the time v profit v ore on the same roid.

its a problem with the roids. The ones in rolks fate are not actually proper nividum roids, and are just there for missions.

there should be proper ones elsewhere however.

althou as you have found, they should also work on Ore roids

Spoiler
Show
After compering numbers between the mine I placed and the Factory Complex Calculator, an ore roid will give the exact same amount as an equivalent yield nvidium roid or so it seems.. even energy consumption seams to be the same... tho I am useing Ashleys XXL mod and baseing my numbers off of an XXL Nividium Mine. so the same may not be true for the M size mine that you would buy from the paranid

Hello, I seem to have a problem here (Besides thread necroing  ).
The script adds the mines to Paranid yards just fine, it's just not spawning the asteroids.

1. Should I wait a while, or should they spawn immediately?
2. I ran the setup script manually and they still failed to spawn.
3. Is it possible that they are spawning and that Scorp's Map is failing to detect them?

Thanks.

the asteroids are actually spawned via an AL plugin, and it happens over time, and more should be created when u use up the current ones.

so u prolly wont notice them straight away

With all due respect Nividium Mines sucks...

Gigantic amounts of time and e-cells to produce 2 units???

Prospector is waaaaaaay faster cheaper and doesn't require any station building...

If the mines' prduction rate was increased it would be very nice but waiting an hour or so for just 2 units of this precious mineral is just... pointless
Fasten your seatbelt Dorothy 'cause Kansas is goin' bye bye...

of course, using mines gives u unlimited amounts ;)

its the same as any other mines, you can get more money by mobile mining

but the time, cost, and amount it produces is nothing to do with the scripts, its hardcoded into the game engine.

this script simply makes the mines available to buy and deploy.
the amount it produces is balances against the nividium relval
