New Iron Maiden song anyone?

Iron Maiden - Speed of Light
Warning: the preceding post almost certainly contains bad grammar and spelling, sarcasm, British humour, general insanity and excessive amounts of Progressive Rock.

Some good K-pop choreograph, animation and editing, the song also hangs together, which helps.

I'm not sure that the interview bit at the end isn't just pretentious twaddle, but surely the performance more than makes up for that...

Dead can Dance - Toward the Within - "Rakim"

Worth listening to more Dead can Dance stuff, as their output is fairly varied, and often extraordinary.

I remember their early stuff on 4AD with 'This Mortal Coil' and the 'Cocteau Twins' type of stuff, I can't remember why I didn't buy it then, maybe bands like Einsturzende Neubauten and Test Department were catching my ear at the time, something different.

A summer party sound. It's nice to hear the old space invaders again, check the batteries in that pacemaker. :)

That is actually a good idea. Any specific summer songs you liked this year?

For me there is a clear winner: Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat MØ Lean On

Not because it is a really good song (altough I like it), but simply because my frinds and I had a lot of fun with it. Mainly because of the......lets call it "special" dance you see in the Video.

From the soundtrack to the film Betty Blue ...

Le petit Nicolas by Gabriel Yared.

I played this to a piano playing friend, who thought it beautiful. We both looked to find where the score could be bought, but it doesn't appear to be available commercially.

Not to be deterred, she started work on working out the score and writing it out by hand. She also sent a facebook message to Gabriel Yared, asking where the score could be obtained. To our delight (and surprise) he replied, telling her to contact his assistant, saying that Gabriel had said could he please send her a copy.

Sometimes people are just wonderful :)

Fantastic film, saw it on release, nice to hear the theme in isolation and see what it conjurers.

Update on the Gabriel Yared score.

A link was sent through (along with the best wishes of Mr Yared :) ), with instructions not to distribute it. The score itself is a copy of the original hand-written version, complete with notes in French. It seems that this music has not been published, and yet it has been provided (free) to a complete stranger simply because she requested it.

Now she just needs to learn to play it :D

In this clinical age, that is very trusting of him, let's hope that the link provided is not on a public facing server.

From the film Girl With A Suitcase.
