Manticore not collecting/finding scrap Version: 6.20 (511811) - 2023-08-24 Steam

Post by oddgit » Sat, 20. Apr 24, 00:31

Hi, i have a few scrap facilities set up in Tharka's Cascade XV to collect the scrap from the constant stream of xenon coming through the gate, I set the manticore to only gather from cascade xv with an activity blacklist because i noticed that they would go to other sectors to gather scrap/wrecks vs the cubes and wrecks right near the station in Cascade XV. I may have it set up incorrectly, but even with no limitation, the manticore dont seem to like to gather scrap from cascade xv

Here is my save file. Non modified game.

Might be related to sector hazards. The manticores may be avoiding collecting scrap due to the constant damage EMP field in one of the tharkas cascade sectors.

There are improvements made to manticores collecting scrap in 7.00. It might be worth backing up your save files and giving the 7.00 beta a try to see if the issue you are having has already been fixed.

Thanks for the suggestion, i assumed it may be related to it, but i have nothing set for them to avoid hazardous areas. I guess can try to do the mod so they are immune to haz, but seems like a waste of an exceptional part.

I just searched for "tharka" and "scrap" because I noticed that the manticores were absolutely refusing to collect anything from the sector. There's definitely something funny going on. I built a scrap station right next to the spot where the Teuta auto-salvaged the scrap from and the manticores just idle for a while before deciding that they can't find anything. They collect the scrap just fine if you manually tell them to collect it. The manticores also had no issue with picking up scrap from blown up stations in Tharka's Cascade XVII.

I'm running the 7.00 Beta, btw. It seems to me that this issue should be looked at.

Please make a topic about it in the 7.00 beta section. This can help the developers track such issues.
