Commentary
A close range high speed weapon made by the Split that does high damage to shields. The PBE deals the highest shield damage of any laser able to be equipped by fighters and deals the 7th highest shield dps but has 11% less hull dps than a Particle Accelerator Cannon and 2.2 times the laser energy cost. The Pulsed Beam Emitter is very effective at bail capping (especially for an M4 compatible weapon) and the high projectile speed makes it good at intercepting weak swarm missiles and engaging M5s or fighter drones however the range and hull damage are too low to effectively intercept heavy missiles and torpedoes before they come within the radius at which they do damage. In general this weapon is a good option for fighter turrets and player ships for bail capping however against larger targets the Plasma Burst generator is a preferable alternative.
