Description Summary

Relationships among the community of planets are complex. Old grudges and alliances, such as that between the Founders and the Profit Guild, make navigating the diplomatic landscape interesting. The long-standing Argon-Boron alliance developed into the Founders Guild; in response the Profit Guild was created by the Paranid and Split. Freelance entrepreneurs will discover that raising their standing with one race will have a positive impact on relations with that race's allies and, conversely, a negative one on those of their enemies. While it is possible to have reasonably good relations with members of both Guilds, reaching the very highest level of notoriety with members of one side will, unsurprisingly, make it impossible to reach a similar level with their opponents. Both enemies and friends of a faction will react accordingly, responding to changes in relations as they happen.

Changes in relations are indicated by green or red arrows next to the current status for each faction, in the race relation interface.

Detailed Info

Dynamic relations are defined by the diplomatic state the races have between each other. Races will reward players for gaining standing with their allies or losing standing with their enemies. The pilot information screen shows the current rank and also the change since the last time visiting this screen. The green and red arrow indicate the direction the relation changed.
