The Onil is the Canteran mining ship. It has a fairly weak hull (the in-game model seems to suggest it is based on the same platform as the Lepton) , and poor armament, and the Bulk version's cargo capacity is below-average. However, it is extremely fast and agile - one of the fastest capital ships, in fact - and can perform fast trade & mining runs.
Worth-noting is that while the Bulk version of the Onil has below-average cargo capacity, the Liquid version has cargo on-par with the rest of the ships in that category. This makes the Onil (Gas) a top choice for gas mining.
