M6 corvettes are the intermediate fight ships between fighters and capital ships. Although usually less agile than M3s they have an order of magnitude more shielding and a Laser Energy Reload Rate high enough to allow for constant firing of fighter class weapons. Corvettes also have access to longer range corvette class weaponry and stronger missiles than fighters (Medusa Prototype excepted). Unlike capital ships M6s can still use docking clamps to dock however, with the exception of the Aran, Kyoto and Valhalla corvettes cannot dock at other ships.
