Introduction

Campaign-unique NPC stations fall into 3 groups. An oddity, a well-known addition, and some less well-known additions, which became consistently added after Rebirth v3.60.

The oddity

One of the NPC stations we vist during the plot is owned by Beryll but in non-Campaign games it isn't.

...

Stations with different owners, stations created for events, and stations constructed over time. The constructed stations became a consistent part of campaign games after Rebirth v3.60 was released.

Station with changing ownership

This is a station who's ownership changes only during a campaign game.

By the end of the campaign, it is typically wrecked and neutral.

Stations constructed over time

NPC Construction Vessels for these stations are deployed during the plot. There isn't an a mission for associated with them and they will work away in the background without player intervention, but the player may sell supply them wares for fun and profit if they like. .These CVs will be replaced if they are destroyed if stage 1 of their station has not been built. If they are destroyed after that, they won't be replaced and the station won't extend further; however even if their CVs are not destroyed, these stations do not become fully extended*.

It's not possible to deploy Trade Agents to these CVs so you'll either need to be nearby them and order wares remotely, or if you have a Trade Computer their offers will remain known for a while .

...

but can become inaccurate over time. Since the local system is unable to produce most of the wares needed for station manufacture and NPC galaxy traders may have other priorities, these stations may not be constructed promptly without player intervention (profit opportunity).

*For a while, it was possible to board these four deployed RoC/HoA CVs and manually order the full extension of them after placing an Architect and supplying your new CV with needed wares. The station remained RoC/HoA owned and didn't retaliate against the stolen CVs. This illogical behaviour was fixed in 4.00 through blocking the potential to board the CVs.
