Fire Authorisation Overrides prescribe how ships should handle their behaviour with other faction's ships. As with other global orders Fire Authorisation Overrides can be configured as a default but can also be configured on a per-ship basis. When creating or editing a Fire Authorisation Override there are a number of different possible configurations which are applied per faction. These are outlined in detail below:
Fire Authorisation OverideOverride | Function |
---|---|
Ruthless | Allows attacks on all of the faction's objects regardless of relation |
Aggressive | Allows attacks on all of the faction's military objects regardless of relation and allows attacks on civilian objects with a relation of -25 or below |
Chivalrous | Allows attacks on all of the faction's military objects regardless of relation and will not attempt to attack civilian ships unless they attack first |
Default | Allows attacks on the faction's military objects with a relation below -20 and civilian objects below -25 |
Honorable | Allows attacks on the faction's military objects with a relation below -20 and will not attempt to attack civilian ships unless they attack first |
Restrained | Allows attacks on all of a faction's objects provided they are at a relation of -25 or below |
Defensive | Only permits attacks on a faction's ships if they have attacked first. Player ships will not attempt any unprovoked attacks |
