Commentary

A laser able to repair the hull of damaged ships. Equipped by default on the space suit of the player when they eject from the player ship. Use of the Repair Laser on NPC and abandoned ships counts as a hostile action causing them to flee if unarmed or to shoot back with any equipped lasers. The Repair Laser fixes roughly ??? (WIP) hull per second making it effective for patching up M5/M4 ships and for reducing repair costs of M3/TM/TP/TS ships while M6/M8s take forever to repair even small percentages of hull lost. Capital ships have too much hull for it to be an effective use of player time to repair manually. For large repair jobs players often eject and pick up SETA equipment for the space suit to make the task less tedious. When obtaining the Aran (M1) it is necessary to use the repair laser on the ship to get it to drop the hidden flag so that it can be targeted by the player ship for boarding.
