Commentary
An alternative version of the M/A-ML only compatible with ships sold in Aldrin. Dps wise the Prototype M/A-ML is weaker than the M/A-ML however it is more energy efficient and is compatible with highly agile M4/M3/M3+ ships sold in Aldrin. The long range combined with a low energy cost and slow rate of fire makes this laser ammo efficient and capable of dealing sustained damage to larger targets from a safe distance enabling aldrin ships to take on capital ships with ease however the slow projectile speed makes hitting smaller targets harder. Like all ammo using Lasers the Prototype Matter/Anti-Matter Launcher uses very little Laser Energy making it good for use in sector where laser energy regeneration is limiting however it also suffers the same problems as other ammo using Lasers OOS where each 3/10 second round of combat chews a whole crate of ammo making them very inefficient to use OOS. Factories that produce this weapon are unavailable for purchase and NPC owned ones are only found in Aldrin and Aldrin 2 meaning this weapon can be hard to obtain in large numbers unless obtained by piracy.
