Many of the disputes between the Paranid and the Argon before the outbreak of the Paranid Civil War occurred here, as it is the sector in which the Gates to The Void and True Sight are both situated. Though the Antigone Republic have worked hard to clear the evidence of their turmoil away, much remains, and many still come to Flashpoint to honour the memory of the dead.
This sector also represents The Republic's strongest economic sector, as it is the only one that is part of The Ring. It is the most highly populated sector claimed by the faction.

The Antigone Republic's most contest and important system determines much of how the faction performs after gamestart. Their dependence on the sector makes them and their neighbours vulnerable to Holy Order raids. The sector also boasts one of the largest mineral resource regions in comparison to the rest of the highway ring making it easy to set up miners and get a quick return on investment.
