Commentary

A Teladi ammo consuming weapon for fighters and larger ships. Damage output wise the Energy Bolt Chaingun is inferior to the High Energy Plasma Thrower however the projectiles move 40% faster and have a max range that is 500m longer making them better at hitting fast moving targets and hitting targets from outside of their line of fire since EBCs have the longest range of any fighter level weapon. Like all ammo using Lasers the EBC uses very little Laser Energy making it good for M1/M7C/M3/M4/TL/TP/TS ships in sector where laser energy regeneration is limiting however it also suffers the same problems as other ammo using Lasers OOS where each 3/10 second round of combat chews a whole crate of ammo making them very inefficient to use OOS.  Each Energy Bolt Chaingun can use nearly 2 crates of ammo per minute (200 rounds per 1 S size crate) meaning fighters with small cargo bays like the Perseus will need either a station/ship to regularly dock at for supplies or the player to set up TS ships to keep wings stocked. If the player intends to use EBCs heavily it is recommended to set up several ammo producing factories early on to reduce expenditures. The Energy Bolt Chaingun also is useful in stock market manipulation, having the highest leverage value per cargo space (72,548 Cr. profit/1 cargo space), especially in the Grand Exchange stock market region where only 8 EBCs are enough for full stock price control. The readily available supply of Energy Bolt Chainguns from Teladi owned Military Outposts and Equipment Docks at the start of the game also make this ware a good choice for stock market manipulation.
