Overview
The Northriver plot, otherwise know as "The Fan plot" and "The Twins plot" is the primary plot set in Avarice and was introduced with the Tides of Avarice DLC and the 5.0 "Hidden Treasures" update. Throughout the plot the player learns more about "Protectyon", Avarice and the Northriver Company. At the plot's culmination the player gets the opportunity to either side with Northriver or forge a new way forward.

- 12,500 Credit purchase of a protectyon sample
- 1 M Ship (of the players choosing)
- Destroying a Vigour Syndicate station (potentially randomly chosen)
- Dagobas
Reward
- Access to Protectyon
- 100M Credits (approximately)
- Ability to purchase an Astrid-class yacht for 50M and unlock the "Early Retirement" Achievement
- All Vigour Syndicate defense platforms in Windfall sectors + control of Windfall III: The Hoard and Windfall IV: Aurora's Dream.
- Reputation level of +20 with the Riptide Rakers (Unknown, needs testing)
- "Destination Unknown" Achievement
- "Climbing the Corporate Ladder" Achievement
