Cross | Ships will form a cross on the vertical plane | |
Cross Forward | Ships will form a cross on the vertical plane, flying in steps backwards of the leading ship | |
Cross Back | Ships will form a cross on the vertical plane, flying in steps forwards of the leading ship | |
X Shape | Ships will form the shape of an 'x' on the vertical plane | |
X Shape Forward | Ships will form the shape of an 'x' on the vertical plane, flying in steps backwards of the leading ship | |

Triangle | Ships will form a closed triangle on the horizontal plane | |

Vulcan | Ships will follow leader, splitting into two branches the further they are from the front of the formation | |
Dart Vertical | Ships will follow leader in branches on vertical plane, in rear-diagonal and line astern directions | |
Dart Horizontal | Ships will follow leader in branches on horizontal plane, in rear-diagonal and line astern directions | |
Echelon | Ships will line up with the leader on the horizontal plane, in one of four diagonal directions | 5 |
