Engines are what determine the acceleration and max speed of ships when flying, boosting or using Travel Mode. Some engines also have the same properties as Thrusters however these are exceptions.

Ship Movement Formulae

Acceleration = Engine Thrust/Ship Mass

Max Speed = Engine Thrust/Ship Directional Drag
