Commentary

A corvette weapon made by the Split that does high damage and drains opponent laser energy. The Ion Shard Railgun does 4% higher shield dps and 13% higher hull dps than the Concussion Impulse Generator but has a 50% higher laser energy cost per minute and 200m less range. The advantage of the ISR is that the projectiles move 18% faster than the CIG making it easier to hit agile targets like fighters and the weapon has a higher fire rate meaning there is less of a penalty if a shot misses while the 173 laser energy drain per second on impact per ISR can severely reduce the number of shots able to be fired back at the attacking ship especially if several ISR using ships are attacking. Generally this weapon should be used in preference to CIGs where possible.
